1394 Firewire Card |
Taking
the first step from tape to disk
If you are new to DV technology or you've had a DV camcorder for
some time, but haven't yet transferred your video to computer and
would like to, here's how you can do it. The most standard way to
get video and audio from the DV tape is via a firewire/1394 card.
The card simply plugs into a PCI slot on your PC. The cable plugs
into a special slot on your camera and then the card on your PC.
Using VideoWorks you will now be able to easily control your camera
and capture the content off it.
Another great reason for using 1394 technology apart from being
the standard most DV camcorders use is that it is fast. 1394 can
handledata transfer at up to ***, which
means it's fast enough to send the DV AVI that the content on your
DV camcorder is formatted in to your PC. The VideoWorks
and 1394 Video Editing Kit has been designed to work seamlessly
with your DV camcorder allowing you to perform your tasks quickly
and easily. Taking the first step
