Visual Effects
After you have removed the content that you don't want you can do many different things to the video you have. You can do everything from modify the colors to adding a frame around the video and many other fun effects. These effects, only a few years back, were performed on the most expensive sophisticated computers. And through the use of special effects you can make your movie more than just a home video.

Add personal touch and make your video into a production that will surprise anyone that watches it. Many of the effects are very easy to use and simply require you to select the effect you want and to drag it into the workspace.
You can then specify details by clicking on the project. With the use of many different transitions you will be able to make the change from one clip to another much more smooth. Maybe a few words to remind you about the things that happened in the scene or as a lead up.

Add some fun subtitles. Point something out. Or just give the scene a really cool title. And when the movie has finished it should have a few credits. After all you should get the credit for creating something worth watching and you may want to thank your brother for acting the fool.

Audio Special Effects
A scary movie it quite boring without those spooky sounds that make the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end. And an action movie doesn't quite have you on the end of your seat without the many different sounds effects that sound engineers add. So why add some mind-blowing effects that will keep the attention of family and friends. Remember you don't want people falling asleep watching your production. Keep them awake and on the edge of their seats. And it's not hard, just select the sound you want from a library of sounds that come with VideoWorks or one that you want from your own favorite sounds and merge it with the existing content or replace it. You can even have sounds fade in, fade out, echo along with other options.
Maybe you feel a backing track would also help to add more emotion to the scene and bring a tear the viewer's eye. Then you can easily import music from a selection of many sources like other files or from your own CD. Alternatively a voiceover would be what you're looking for then go ahead.
