Editing Your Movie

Once you have captured your video or imported it you may want to edit it. With Presto! VideoWorks you have many exciting options. And you can easily remove the parts that you don't want, combine separate video clips and even add transitions to make the change from one clip to the next more natural. In the past the professionals spent weeks cutting the film with much of it ending up on the floor. Now all this can be done with the click of a mouse.

Cutting what you don't want

By simply selecting whatever you don't like, you can cut it out of your movie. Apart from removing the content that you don't want you can also copy section to another clip. It is really up to you how you want to go about cutting the content. The most difficult thing will be deciding what you want to leave in and what you want to cut out not how to go about it. Once you have removed what you don't want you can preview the video to determine if it is what you want, remove a bit more or put back what you just removed. After you have deleted the content you needn't worry as all the original content is still on your DV tape. You can even make a backup of the original clip that you captured and restore content from that.

Re-arranging your video
After you have trimmed your video, you are then able to combine the separate section the way you like. VideoWorks has an interface that is different from many others out there and can keep many different clips in the background so you can play each one individually to determine if it is the way you want it to appear or the one you want. You can then drag them into the storyboard to make you final sequence.
